Ministry

It was an Annie Dillard quote that led me to answer the call to ministry. She says, "How we spend our days is how we spend our lives." I want to spend my days writing and preaching, listening to and telling stories that help us to make meaning, talking with children, creating spiritual spaces, working for justice. And so I have decided to spend my life as a minister, where all of these pieces make up the larger puzzle of a ministry that is creative, dynamic, demanding, and engaging. Each piece of ministry is rooted in a sense of connection to the community, to the earth, and to the holy. Although much of ministry happens in the moment, by looking through the pages in this section you can learn more about my approach to these various elements of ministry.
